Wet and Wild Holiday Weekend

By May 27, 2016February 3rd, 2020No Comments

Kansas has been under the gun for the last few days with nasty thunderstorms and damaging tornadoes and the threat continues today for much of today.  Severe thunderstorms  are forecast for the Plains states with a threat more tornadoes, monster hail, high winds and flash flooding. Meanwhile rainfall in excess of 15 inches in some areas is prompting flooding in Texas has left two dead, several missing and prompted evacuations. More rain and thunderstorms are expected across the central states from Texas to Minnesota and Wisconsin. Long-range forecasts are calling for heavy rain through next week in some areas, especially Texas.

In the Atlantic, 91  is still spinning and it’s very possible that we will have TS Bonnie in the next day or two. Whether or not the system reaches TS status, it will definitely be a rainmaker for  coastal areas, especially from Georgia to southeastern Virginia through the weekend and maybe even into next week.

No doubt claim volumes will rise along with each new round of storms. Things are going to get busy for adjusters!

From everyone here at Eberl- we wish you a safe and happy Memorial Day!
